A former teacher at a private school was jailed yesterday for carrying out a campaign of 'grooming and corruption' on two teenage boys.

A former teacher at a private school was jailed yesterday for carrying out a campaign of "grooming and corruption" on two teenage boys. Julien Bertrand, 25, was given a six-year sentence for sexually assaulting the boys, one 14 and the other 16.

Bertrand, from Nanterre, France, befriended the families of the two boys before carrying out a series of sex attacks on them. He also spent up to £5,000 on gifts for the 14-year-old.

Some of the attacks were at the 14-year-old's home in Essex, and others were at the school in the West Country, which cannot be named for legal reasons.
